Inspire College and K-12 Students!

With a focus on research about sustainability, Student Payload Opportunity with Citizen Science (SPOCS) is seeking help from NASA civil servant or contractors.

Items to get involved with include:

  • Subject matter expert to present a webinar on sustainability research (Sustainability webinar is set for Feb. 26 from 5-6 pm)
  • Technical reviewers to score proposals for merit of experiment (expected commitment is about 5 hours in the month of April)
  • Mentors for selected student teams (expected commitment is 2-5 hours a month from June 2020 – Feb. 2021)

Congratulations, Rodney Bowersox!

The AIAA Houston Section would like to congratulate Rodney D. W. Bowersox of Texas A&M University for being inducted into the Class of 2020 AIAA Fellows.

AIAA confers the distinction of Fellow upon individuals in recognition of their notable and valuable contributions to the arts, sciences or technology of aeronautics and astronautics. See the press release for details on other AIAA colleagues in the Class of 2020 fellows and honorary fellows.

Paid Internship – NASA Johnson Space Center

San Jacinto College has a paid internship opportunity at NASA’s Johnson Space Center.  The pay rate is $20/hour for an undergraduate student and $24/hour for a graduate student.  The successful candidate works with NASA professionals on projects related to the International Space Station and space travel projects.

They are looking for a student that can work 20-35 hours a week around their class schedule.
